Scala Utopia Evo is the compact statement piece of Focal’s Utopia range — a 3-way floorstanding speaker that trades size for musicality without giving up any of the technology found in its bigger siblings. Its bi-ampable, separated compartments house Focal’s NIC (Neutral Inductance Circuit) motor and TMD suspension on the midrange driver, dramatically cutting distortion in that most delicate part of the frequency range. Combined with the acclaimed IAL2 pure Beryllium inverted-dome tweeter and Focal’s signature ‘W’ sandwich-cone woofer, Scala Utopia Evo delivers the precision, detail and soundstage of the full Utopia lineage in a noticeably easier-to-place cabinet — recognized as Audioholics’ 2023 Product of the Year.
