Compactness, design and high-fidelity sound are the hallmarks of Sopra N°3, Focal’s luxury loudspeaker that comes close to the ultimate performance of the Utopia range. With its two 21cm ‘W’ woofers — larger than the 18cm units on Sopra N°2 — it delivers noticeably more powerful bass, while the IHL (Infinite Horn Loading) system lets the pure Beryllium tweeter deliver full finesse without demanding the huge cabinet volume that horn loading usually needs. Cabinets are made in France by Focal’s own cabinetmakers, with tempered glass to eliminate vibration and a choice of lacquer or wood finishes, and the speaker has been inducted into hi-fi+’s Loudspeaker Hall of Fame.
