Stella Utopia EM Evo is the technological twin of the flagship Grande Utopia EM Evo, packing nearly identical innovations into a lighter 3-way floorstanding cabinet. Its 33cm ‘W’ woofer runs on the same electromagnetic (EM) motor found in the Grande — a design that replaces the usual permanent magnet with an externally-powered electromagnet, letting the sound be tuned to the room. Combined with Focal’s NIC magnetic circuit and TMD suspension on the midrange, Stella offers up to 243 possible sound-personalization settings via bi-amplification. The result has earned it three separate awards from The Absolute Sound.
