Primo Plus is Volumio’s advanced streaming DAC, combining a dual-mono ESS architecture with an upgraded power supply and precision clocking. It uses the ES9039Q2M DAC together with eight selectable filters and a switchable NOS mode. The unit offers USB-C, USB-A, optical and coaxial connectivity, as well as balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs. Hardware gain control also allows Primo Plus to operate directly as a preamplifier for a power amplifier.
